The Kingdom of Alemstrela (English pronunciation: [ɐlɪmstɹˈɛlə], Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐ.ɫẽʃ.ˈtɾe.ɫɐ]) is a country in the continent of Blancaria.
History
The lands of Alemstrela were settled before there was any written record on the area. The indigenous villagers built three settlements, Monforte, Bosqueira and Marinossa, with Marinossa eventually becoming the old capital, due to its easy access to the northern and southern ocean, lush forests providing plenty of construction material, and fertile soil.
The current population of Alemstrela has migrated to the area, spurred on by the Old World Collapse. The area, charted after a boat landing, featured scenic vistas and flat terrain suitable for construction led to the official declaration of the kingdom by Metriximor on 5 February 2025.
Spending the first night in Marinossa, the royal couple decided to establish a new settlement, Porto D'Oro, due to it's close proximity to the sea.
Culture
Etymology
The people of Alemstrela are named after the Santa Estrela Cordillera. Alemstrela is the contraction of "Além" (Beyond) and "Estrela" (Estrela), the full contraction deriving from the fact that the Alemstrelanos live beyond the aforementioned Cordillera. The name is similar to Alentejo however, instead of being inspired by the Tagus river, it is inspired by a mountain range.

Porto D'Oro
Porto D'Oro (English: Harbour of Gold) is the capital of Alemstrela located right by the sea, and was recently founded. It currently is the host to a fledgling settlement, with plenty of construction materials, wheat farms, livestock, and a rudimentar construction sector. Porto D'Oro was previously used as a sea front access of some kind, noted by the existing roads before the settlement. It's built in the style of an Italian riviera city using very colorful materials extracted from the mesa nearby.

Settlements that existed before the official declaration of the kingdom, built and inhabited by Villagers. These settlements were present before there were any written records of them, so historians are still uncovering the history behind them.

Economy
The economy of Alemstrela is very underdeveloped. With a big focus on the new capital, most of the nation's resources and working man-hours go towards the construction sector, with most of the nation's factories reflecting that fact. Currently the nation is lacking a few critical factories, namely some for power generation. Instead having factories that allow a rapid production of construction materials, such as a concrete mixer, cobblestone generator and a basic smeltery.
Geography
Alemstrela is firmly located in the continent of Blancaria. It is also in between two seas, the central sea and the southern sea. Most of it's land area is flat, with a very gentle slope all the way up until the Santa Estrela, where it becomes mountainous.
In terms of temperature, most of the nation features a comfortable mediterranean climate, teeming between arid and temperate, with low humidity. The weather is mostly sunny throughout the whole year. The only exceptions being the Santa Estrela Cordillera, which features extremely cold climates on the peaks, and frequent snow storms.
Politics and Government
The nation is mostly intended to be a liberal democratic socialist nation headed by the royal couple with plenty of civil freedoms and political freedoms. As of yet there is no governing constitution and no laws passed.
Foreign Diplomacy
The king Metriximor has visited Žiemkalnis in an official capacity and signed a trade deal with TikraiNeGedvilas.
On the 18 February 2025 Metriximor suggested the formation of a United Nations to determine a global response to matters like The Question of Villager Sovereignty.
On the 20 April 2025 banyough carried out a special military operation on Kapatiran and successfully stole a couple valuables along with causing some infrastructure damage. Despite this, relations between Kapatiran and Alemstrela remain good.
